At Silver Oak Institute of Design, we don’t just prepare students for jobs, but also teach them to cultivate their innovation and ambition as a designer. DILIP OJHA
Design Educator
Mr.Dilip Oza is worked with National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmadabad. He is a Graphic Designer and graduated his Applied Arts course with first class. He also did a fellowship programme at NID in visual communication. In further he did a Training Programme organised by UNESCO at Japan. He has 40 years long experience in the Design field including area of Design Education, Professional Design Projects, Publication Design, Packaging Design, Publication Design, Digital Design, Data Visualization, UI&UX, Letter/Type Design, Signage Design, Branding, Print & Production, Exhibition Design, Typography, Calligraphy, Print Media and computer Graphics etc. During his career he was involved in many Professional Design Projects like: Ahmedabad Municipal Corpo. Ahmedabad Tourist Map, Bus Route Map, Tourist Map of Goa, Industrial Map of India, Symbol Design for SPIPA, Water Mission, WASMO etc. He was also involved in Exhibition Design Projects like: Agri Expo, Discovery of India, Energy etc. Signage and Map Design for Tirupati Tirumal Devsthanama.
Shaifali Desai
Design Professional and Educator
Art and Design Graduate from Sheth C. N. College of Fine Arts (Ahmedabad), with over three decades of multidisciplinary experience as a design professional and educator. Currently, Shaifali Desai leads craft vertical as Strategic Consultant and Mentor at SEWA Cooperative Federation, to support and enable grassroots women’s handicraft cooperatives and collective enterprises to become viable. Combined with experience of strategic liasoning, partnerships and collabrations with Govt. / Semi- Govt., Corporates, and Bureaucrat on National and International platform.
Anees Deen
Celebrity Fashion Designer
A Design Graduate from Nottingham Trent University (United Kingdom). He is an International Fashion Designer, Haute Couturier, Fashion Curator, Fashion Journalist, and carries fashion with passion that speak about his exquisite skills. His creation reaches across the globe and is worn by World Fashion Icons and celebrities, at the most prestigious events like The International Red Carpet, Cannes Film Festival and various award ceremonies. He is the founder and director of Fashion house - ANEESDEEN Label. He has been mentoring new generation since a decade.
Anjani Kumar
Industrial Designer & Design Educator
Anjani Kumar has 14 years of experience as an Industrial Designer, Educator and Artist. He has done his Post Graduation in industrial design from National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, He has worked with a range of materials including ceramic & terracotta, glass, plaster of paris, paper mache, bamboo & wood, metal and home décor accessories. At present, he is based in Ahmedabad and works as a visiting/guest faculty & as a juror at various design & craft institutes include- NID (national institute of design), NIFT (national institute of fashion technology), ANU (anant national university), INDUS University, KSD (khyati school of design), UID (unitedworld institute of design, Karnavati University), GLS University Ahmedabad, NIRMA University, MRID (MSU Vadodara), PP SAVANI Surat, IICD (indian institute of crafts and design Jaipur, UMSAS (upendra maharathi shilp anusandhan sansthan, Patna) and SKV (somaiya kala vidya, Kutch). He is also engaged with design consultancy services, studio based practices and conducts various tangible material oriented workshops.
Ajay Kumar
Design Educator
I am Ajay Kumar holds a diverse educational background in the field of design. He completed a Master of Design specializing in Toy & Game Design at the National Institute of Design, Gandhinagar, where he gained expertise in areas such as design research, design management, and playful product design, including educational and wooden toys. Prior to this, he obtained a Master of Fine Arts in Applied Arts at the College of Art, Delhi University, where he honed skills in brand research, graphic design, advertising, campaign design, packaging, and documentation design. Ajay's journey in design began with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Applied Arts at the Faculty of Visual Arts, Banaras Hindu University, where he gained foundational knowledge in graphic design, typography, publication design, and more. This comprehensive educational journey equips Ajay Kumar with a rich and varied skill set across different design domains, making him well-prepared for a wide range of design-related endeavors.
Anal Vyas
Textile Designer
Anal Vyas, textile designer graduate from the NIFT having 8 years of experience, she has demonstrated her expertise across multiple disciplines. She has worked closely with Indian artisans, serving as an empaneled designer with the Development Commissioner Handicraft (DCH) under the Ministry of Textiles. Furthermore, she is the proprietor of a brand specializing in handcrafted products.Additionally, she holds the position of an empaneled assessor at Samarth-SCBTS, a program under the Ministry of Textiles.
Priyanka Patil
Graphic Design, Visual Art
Design Graduate from United Institute of Design (UID) – Gandhinagar She is a digital artist based from Jalgaon. She is working as a creating digital art, making calligraphy videos, designing invites and illustrations. She have been working as a freelancer for three years and have designed art for various brands. She love depicting her imagination within her artwork and love to spread good vibes through her art. When She is not designing, She love to spend time in singing and learning an instrument called ukulele.
Anjana Singh
Fashion Designer and Stylist
A Fashion Design Graduate from NIFT (Kangra). She is driven by a belief that investing on ourselves pays the best interest. Despite being in the Couture Fashion for more than 8 years, she kept her passion to learn new things alive. Proficient in Surface Design Technique and Fabric Handling, she worked as a Design Head for International brands and her own brand too. Currently doing excellent as an Assistant Creative Director for renowned television shows and OTT platforms, she believes strongly in encouraging her students to create new boundaries through explorations.
Tapsya Bhargava
Product and Interior Designer
Tapsya Bhargava, pursuing a Ph.D in Crafts and communities. With A strong academic foundation in product design at the undergraduate level and post graduate degree in Interior and experience design, she has honed her expertise. She demonstrated her entrepreneurial skills by establishing her design Label “ Renaissance Idesign “ both in Ahmedabad and Delhi. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Crafts and Communities. With a strong academic foundation in Product design at the undergraduate level and a postgraduate degree in Interior and Experience design, she has honed her expertise. Additionally, she has demonstrated her entrepreneurial skills by working with homelane, livspace as her industry experience and establishing her design label "Renaissance Idesign" with a presence in both Ahmedabad and Delhi. Her journey embodies a deep commitment to design, creativity and a passion for community engagement.
Yash Sukla
Fashion Designer and Illustrator
As a Fashion Design graduate from Annamalai University, he has an immense experience in the industry. Along with having worked for several Bollywood celebrities and personalities like Madhuri Dixit Nene, Tamannah Bhatiya, Kangana Ranaut, Isha Ambani and many more under the label Saisha Shinde (earlier Swapnil Shinde), he has also been a part of costume design team for movie PS-1 (starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Trisha Krishnan). He has worked as a designer at Garvi Gurjari. He has also showcased his collection “memories” at LAKME FASHION WEEK (SS-2019).

A Fashion and Textile Design Graduate from NIFT (Gandhinagar), currently working as Design Manager in Arvind Limited. He has more than 10 years of experience in the field of fabric development for the Export and Retail Business Segment. He has always supported the new generation and gets connected with them by having Interactive sessions in various Educational Institutes. He has given his expertise and knowledge to many of the well known industries like, Donear Industries Ltd., Tessitura Monti India Ltd., Reliance Industries Ltd., Birla Transasia Carpets Ltd.
Zeel Shah
IPR Lawyer and Social Worker
As an IPR Lawyer and Law Graduate from Nirma university, she has co-founded an NGO SAHAAY, which got praises during pandemic for tremendous work to eradicate Covid19. Her previous experience as Head of Public Relations for YUVA UNSTOPPABLE NGO gives her another edge. During her tenure, she has transformed many Govt. schools, has completed successful CSR initiatives and started many initiatives related to education (nationally and internationally). Presently, practising criminal law and hence, this combination of law and social work makes her unique.

Visual Communication Design
Design Graduate from United Institute of Design, Gandhinagar having an experience of 6 years in the Advertising and Commercial photography industry. He is working for Advertising agencies, fashion designers and architects and interior designers, for many Brands and advertising Agencies in Gujarat & overseas too like Dezine Brainz Digital, Purple Phase Communications, Spaces and Places Interiors, Ujjval Fadia Architects & Interior Designer, Nini’s Kitchen, Sante Spa Cuisines, Rudra Residency, Stellar Productions and many more.
Shalini Tripathi
Textile / Ceramic & Glass Designer
A Master in Design from NID (Ahmedabad) in Ceramic and Glass Design and Textile Design graduate degree from NIFT (Gandhinagar), who is passionate about teaching and guiding students. With 8 years of experience in hand-drawn and digital design, implementing ideas into products and services, working with the crafts and craft sectors, and preparing long-term design strategies for start-ups, non-profits, and fintech, she has a wealth of industry knowledge. She has also founded GHUMANTU FILM STUDIO PVT. LTD., and ATAICHI DESIGN.
Amrish Bhavsar
Civil Engineer & Design Educator
Prof. Amrish Bhavsar is a civil engineer by profession. He has in total more than 16 years of experience. He started his career in the industry in structural design of steel and R.C.C. structures for industrial, institutional, residential and commercial building projects both manually and with help of structural software wherein he worked for 5 years. In his 11 years of academic experience, he has taught various subjects in his domain to the students of masters, bachelors and diploma engineering courses. He holds mastery in teaching the subjects related to construction materials in addition to structural and civil engineering subjects. He is fully conversant with structural software STAAD- Pro and AutoCAD and is well versed with scrutiny of structural drawings and estimation of quantities of materials.
Himanshu Singh
Fashion and Apparel Designer
A Fashion and Apparel Design Graduate from NIFT (Gandhinagar). Having an experience of 6 years in the industry, he has worked with Padma Shree Ms. Runa Banerjee (revivalist of Chikankari craft and the Founder of ‘Self-Employed Women’s Association’, SEWA, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh). Further to this, he has worked as an Assistant Designer to renowned Textile Revivalist, Mr. Umang Hutheesing who has his atelier in Ahmedabad Gujarat. He founded the label HOUSE OF AVADH, which is his labour of love towards the exquisite Indian prints and hand embroideries.
Ashish Satyavrat Sahu
Fashion Designer and Educator
As a Fashion Design Graduate from NIFT (Gandhinagar), he joined Ritu Kumar (India’s legendary Fashion Designer) after graduation. He has his own company by the name of KHADIWALA DESIGNER, which is a premium line of Designer Khadi clothings, and second is JOHARGRAM, which he started to promote, support, and sell Jharkhand handloom textiles. He is also honoured with precious Fashion Awards in India including DLF Emporio Design Award 2015 (1st runner up), Vogue Honors’ Design Award 2014, Tassel Design Award 2018 and TFI Fashion Design Award 2019.
